Shop local this Christmas campaign for tourism association

I recently worked on a project for the local tourism association, creating a Christmas Gift Guide to highlight the wide range of small businesses in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley and just how much variety could be found locally this Christmas.

Small businesses are the heart of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. They bring creativity, personality and passion to the local economy. I wanted to celebrate our dynamic community and the unique products and experiences they offer and encourage people to shop local instead of defaulting to big-name retailers, making it easy for locals and visitors to discover unique gifts, artisanal products and festive treats while supporting independent shops and creators in the community.

What the gift guide includes:

  • Local food and drink
  • Art, prints and jewellery
  • Crafts, candles and other homeware
  • Experiences and vouchers perfect for Christmas presents

The guide is designed for anyone wanting to shop thoughtfully this festive season and to put a spotlight on the people behind local businesses. Every business who offers online shopping is included as well as those who don’t with instructions on how you can order and collect or get it delivered. It’s a timely reminder of the talent that exists locally and how small initiatives can make a real difference to a community.
