We’ve recently completed a project for two lovely holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean, capturing new photography, writing new content and building them a new website.

Cowshed Cottage and The Dairy are two self-catering properties on a working farm. Finished to an exceptional standard, they offer the perfect combination of country charm, character and comfort, creating a genuine home-from-home feel.

However, their old website was looking tired and outdated, and the owners believed the photography hadn’t been updated for around 15 years! So, we had the job of bringing everything up to date and showcasing the cottages as they really are today.

We took a new set of professional photographs, capturing the character and quality of the cottages, making sure every room and space was covered as well as all the little details that give guests a much better sense of what to expect.

Alongside the photography, we designed and built a brand new website that works seamlessly across desktop, tablet and mobile. We added new pages and content, improved the navigation and created separate pages for each cottage so visitors can easily see what each one offers.

The booking system is now integrated into the website, with clear calls to action making it simple for visitors to check availability and book.

With an overwhelming number of five-star reviews, we made these a much more prominent part of the new website, putting feedback from previous guests front and centre.

We also created a new guide to the area, covering local walks, places to eat and drink and nearby attractions alongside some of our own photos, giving visitors plenty of inspiration for their stay and helping to show exactly where the cottages are and what’s on the doorstep.

Finally, we set up Google Analytics and Search Console so the owners can keep an eye on how the website is performing.

And the cost? Under £1,000.

We completed all of the website, content and photography work within a few months and, we think, have made a huge difference to how these two lovely cottages are presented online.

It was a really enjoyable project to work on, and it’s always great to see our range of skills come together.

When we start working with a new client, we don’t just look at the individual project in isolation. We look at the business as a whole and how we can best benefit them and their customers. This is the perfect example of that.
